I am a mechanical engineering student at the University of Maryland; I am passionate about simplifying everyday tasks. This page contains several engineering projects that display my expertise in 3D modeling and various skills relating to mechanical engineering and design

About Me

I am a senior working on my bachelor's degree at the University of Maryland. I am interested in mechanical design and product manufacturing. I am a member of Terps Racing Baja, and I spend much of my time inside a machine shop or on a computer working with 3D modeling software. I have years of experience working in research and design through my seasonal position as a research associate at Zegaz Instruments; I designed using iterations and worked with infrared spectroscopy with natural gas. I am always eager to learn more - working to be familiar with new cad programs, machines, programming languages, and materials. I wish to go into the fields of robotics, or vehicle dynamics after graduation.

Terps Racing 2022 Gearbox

This gearbox is a complete redesign of the gearbox on the Terps Racing 2021 car. It was designed to address issues of the previous gearbox that included, excessive bearing wear, oil leakage, and unnecessary weight. It was also designed to facilitate the implementation of a new belt system to allow the power from the output shaft to be transmitted to both the front and rear wheels.

Terps Racing 2023 Gearbox

This gearbox was an upgrade to the TR22 gearbox I designed the year before. This gearbox was designed to interface with a new 4 wheel drive clutch, support new loadings, and contains several additional small improvements to my original design.

This steering rack is a complete redesign of a steering rack designed in 2018. It was designed to decrease steering effort, increase strength, decrease weight, and increase assemblability.

FRC 2016 Robot

As a critical member of my high school robotics team I designed large parts of our robot for the First Stronghold FRC competition. This was my first real engineering challenge and reaffirmed my passion for engineering.

FRC 2017 Robot

This was my second year doing robotics in high school and this is the year I became the CAD leader. Because of this I focused less on actual 3D modeling parts and spent most of my time making quick sketches for other students.
